Last night, Kevin, whose knowledge of all things related to photography is encyclopedic, sent me a link to some newly available Time-Zero film... from the last run even! I promptly hopped over to the site to purchase 8 packs. Now I see that there is some confusion about its availability. I wait hopefully and maybe a bit desperately.
The death of Poloroid is a shame. I have probably 30 pack of film stored, when that is all gone I will put the camera on the shelf. I have so enjoyed the passion of the instant photo, It will be a sorely missed aspect to my photography for sure. Keep the chin up though, There is still film..... for now.
I am so scared to use my time zero. Like the stuff from 95 still worked months ago but I don't know how long to keep it for. I know I should use it before it's unusable, but I can't waste a shot!!.
I am pissed that guy won 10 packs from 2001 for $50!! I can't sleep. I hate being an already poor student with a passion for a dying medium.
Best of luck with the T-Z. I found an old site that had it up and then they sent me an e-mail that it was unavailable...
If you go on to polaroid.com, they don't even sell ANY film on there anymore!
Polaroid is evil... that's why I called the blog title "The Flowers of Evil". I bought a Hasselblad, hoping I could repace the passion I have for Polaroid film types (and Time-Zero in particular). I cannot. This is the medium that is most intimately connected with my vision of the physical world. Man, that does suck that someone got that film for so cheap. You have to wonder if his talent warrants the use of Time-Zero.
Being a student is such a small fraction of who you are, even though it will dominate your life for a while. I know what you mean though about not being able to sleep.
By the way... I found your last blog by visiting my dashboard, but if you choose to send your blog to uber friends at the top of the page after you submit it, we'll get a note in the message system. Then more people will visit! Your work is worthy of visits!
