For me, part of what is interesting about photographic images is that they arrest and perpetuate time simultaneously. In this way, the images from the past (not necessarily famous ones either) resonate a kind of nostalgia, accuracy, and falsehood that I can't help but love. Some of my favorite photographs are those taken by family members in the late fifties and sixties. I find myself striving to keep and to give away my sense of time with the use of light.
we may use the term bokeh when not preceded by the terms heart, faux, or fake. ;-)
i have lots of family photos from the sixties that are awesome. you know, the seventies color just didn't withstand time very well. also my mother put them in those magnetic albums. uh oh. i love the images from my grandmother's life when she was a young woman!
I love your work so much. I always loved making Polaroid transfers, so I was already really sad that Polaroid's film devision is being destroyed, but honestly... knowing that you won't be making the amazing art that you do makes me more sad than knowing that I won't be able to do transfers anymore. I feel like the world will be seriously lacking in beauty because you won't be doing what you do.
